Chantel has all of the credentials: a BFA in Musical Theater, Minor in Classical Voice, graduate work in Vocal Pedagogy and over twenty years of experience both as a performer and educator.

That being said, it's her characteristic enthusiasm coupled with a deep understanding and connection to young people, that sets her apart.

Whether you are a child, novice or experienced professional looking for peer mentorship, Chantel will meet you where you are and inspire you to take your voice further!

Chantel also founded the Austin based nonprofit Global Voice Collective.  While GVC was only active for 2yrs, Chantel continues to imbue all of her teaching with the same mission: to empower and uplift the voices of our youth through singing.

In addition to all of this private lessons, show choirs and nonprofits (!), Chantel homeschools her 7yr old daughter, runs the after school Performing Arts program & directs the after school Musicals at the Austin Jewish Academy, and is the Youth Choir director at the Austin UU Church

*In years past, she was the K-8 music teacher at both the Austin Jewish Academy (two years), and the Stephen Gaynor School in NYC (three years).  She was also the Children’s Choir Director at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Boulder, CO (five years).

There is no other word but "uncanny" for Chantel's ability to connect with an individual student, intuit her strengths and unique musical tastes and objectives, and yet also inspire her to stretch and move outside her comfort zone.
